Get geared up and prepare for the Broadway invasion in this month. All popular musicals from "Mary Poppins" right down to the musical "Avenue Q," are all going to be taking centre stage. Those who have grown up watching the actress Julie Andrews in the show "Mary Poppins" and know all the dialogues by heart might want to check in on their expectations at the door for the theatrical version that is going to be playing at the Kennedy Center. The plot had been tweaked just before its opening in London and had made its premiere on Broadway.
There is an entire cast of local stars that had been imported from New York includes several characters such as the TV veteran named Patrick Cassidy who had been the super-villain named Max Menken (the character that had been played by his late father named Jack Cassidy).
This whole show has been much successful and has surpassed all the expectations of everybody including the DTC and artistic director named Kevin Moriarty. If they make the decision of taking it elsewhere post its one month run at the venue of Wyly, then in that case there are going to be several winning elements in Superman that will surely make it the new next great American musical comedy.
In fact even at present it has more going for it as compared to several of the other Broadway tours that are currently on the road. Those of you who had simply loved "Mary Poppins" the movie are going to enjoy the musical even more. The musical has been relocated to the Kennedy Center Opera House until the late August.
