So You Think You Can Dance UK continued some weeks ago as the Top 8 performed for Britain's votes.

Obviously, I think the girl's elimination was terrible. It was between Bethany and Katrina, two of my favourite girls.

Anyway, time for the Top 8 show!

Katie & Israel

Style: Broadway

All the judges liked Katie in this. Most of the judges thought Israel gave a good effort. Nigel thought Israel's shoulders were too high and Arlene thought his timing was off. I thought it was... OK. It didn't wow me or anything. I did like the one lift where Katie goes up and around through Israel's legs.

Charlotte & Lee B

Style: Contemporary

Arlene and Louise liked Lee but thought Charlotte fell short. They didn't get the emotion they wanted out of her and thought her technique was exposed a little bit. Nigel didn't like it at all. He complained about Charlotte's technique and Lee's outfit. I thought Lee did an amazing job. Starting from the part where he's carrying her on his back and then swings her around, I absolutely felt his commitment to the piece. The difference between Lee's performance and Charlotte's performance was that it felt like Lee was listening to the music whereas Charlotte was just acting. And I also agree that Charlotte's technique was actually kind of weak in that. I actually didn't notice until the judges pointed it out.

Bethany Rose & Luke

Style: Hip Hop

Sisco didn't like that Bethany complained about getting Hip Hop. He thought Luke was great. Arlene and Louise also thought that Luke was great and that Bethany fell behind. I thought the lighting and camera movements were really annoying. But other than that, I agree with the judges. What's worse than me having to agree with the judges is the bad routine.

Kirsty & Matt

Style: Rumba

The judges liked it. Arlene thought Kirsty could have done more caressing. I thought it was good. Probably the best overall routine of the night, which actually isn't saying much.

Final 4 Girls Routine

Only Louise got to comment and she said that Kirsty and Bethany stood out and left the other two behind. Maybe I'm just biased but I thought Bethany was way better than the other girls. Her movements were sexier and she just has this natural flirtatious personality.

Final 4 Guys Routine

Nigel was the one that got to comment and he said it was his favourite routine from both UK seasons. I thought they were very good as well. I wouldn't say it was my favourite routine from the 2 seasons, but it was very good.

Solos

Arlene was the only one that commented and she ripped apart Kirsty and Charlotte's solos and praised Luke and Matt. I liked Bethany's, Katie's, Luke's, Matt's and Israel's solos.

I'm going to watch the results now but will probably comment on that when I blog about the Top 6 performance show.
