So You Think You Can Dance UK continued last week as the Top 10 perform for Britain's votes.

OK, so finally catching up with SYTYCD UK. So, Nigel isn't here this week. He's probably busy with American Idol finale and SYTYCD US.

Katrina & Tom

The judges pretty much didn't like it. They said it was bland and not sexy enough. Sisco liked Tom in it but thought Katrina could have been better. I kind of agree with what they said. Salsa should be danced more into the ground and should be really sultry.

Bethany Rose & Israel

The judges pretty much loved it. It was a beautiful routine but it was definitely more Lyrical than Hip Hop.

Charlotte & Matt

Style: Disco

Louise thought Matt was cooler and more modern than Charlotte. Arlene liked Charlotte better. The guest judge agreed a bit with both of them. He kind of didn't like it. Sisco liked it. The camera angles were so horrible. I thought they did a good job.

Kirsty & Lee B

Style: Broadway

The guest judge didn't like it. He thought they danced it well but he didn't see the story telling. Arlene saw the story telling. I thought they did a decent job. It was missing a little bit of that natural quality, though. It looked a bit too obvious that they were doing dance moves.

Katie & Luke

Style: Commercial

The judges pretty much liked it. Sisco thought Luke was better than Katie. I thought it was OK. They danced it well enough but I wasn't really feeling it.

Katrina & Tom

The judges pretty much said they didn't like it. They said it was missing sexuality and flow. Sisco thought Tom had the sex appeal and Katrina had it in her movements but not in her face / eyes. I pretty much agree with this. It felt kind of under rehearsed. Maybe having two routines in one week made it difficult for them.

The judges thought it wasn't technically perfect but they thought it was a fun routine. I liked this. I think they really put their personalities into it, which is really important in a routine like this.

The judges pretty much loved it. I thought they danced it really well but I don't know if it was the song or what but it was kind of sleepy to me.

Sisco thought they lacked the swag but that they brought it 110%. The other judges loved them. I think this routine was probably pretty difficult and required a bit of technique and so they probably looked amateurish. So, I see where Sisco is coming from. Having said that, I kind of want to say I liked it because they did try very hard.

Louise loved it. Arlene liked it but criticized the technique a bit. The guest judge also made a small critique about how Luke's fingers should have been together when placing it on Katie's back but otherwise he loved it. Sisco also loved it. I thought they danced it beautifully. I love the Viennese Waltz.


Wow, I'm so behind. Hopefully, I can get to the other episodes soon. I thought this episode wasn't that great. I think it had a lot to do with them having to learn two routines. On another note, SYTYCD US season 8 has already started. I don't think I will blog about the audition episodes. Maybe I'll start during Vegas week.
