We start off the show with a recap of the season.
Partner: Lauren Gottlieb
Style: Bollywood
Choreographer: Nakul
Phone #: 1-888-6-BEST-02
My Thoughts
I thought it was good. They both did a good job. I was kind of surprised at how great Lauren was in this.
Partner: Twitch Boss
Style: hip-Hop
Choreographers: Napoleon & Tabitha Dumo
My Thoughts
Their unison was kind of off at the beginning. Other than that I thought it was good.
Partner: Mark Kanemura
Style: Jazz?
Choreographer: Tyce DiOrio
Phone #: 1-888-6-BEST-03
My Thoughts
I thought it was good. I'm sounding repetitive. I think Roberts moves seemed more Contemporary, mostly the jumps, Mark was more Jazzy.
Kent Boyd's Solo
They did a short interview with Kent and then he danced his solo.
Lauren F & Robert
Style: Contemporary
Choreographer: Dee Caspary
Song: "That Home"
My Thoughts
I agree with Mia and Nigel that Robert seems like he's gotten better throughout the season. He seemed more focused in the second half of the season than he was in the first half. Lauren was great as well.
Lauren F & Kent
Style: Jazz
Choreographer: Mandy Moore
Song: "Hip To Be Square"
My Thoughts
I thought it was a cute routine. Kent definitely was more nerdy than Lauren. Not knocking Lauren cause she kinda looked hot as a nerdy girl.
Robert Roldan's Solo
They showed a short interview with Robert and then he danced a solo.
Kent Boyd
Partner: Allison Holker
Style: Contemporary
Choreographer: Stacey Tookey
My Thoughts
I thought the routine was intriguing. Cool concept by Stacey Tookey but I have to admit that I didn't follow the story as well as I would have liked. But they definitely both put a lot of emotion into the routine.
Lauren Froderman
They did a short interview with Lauren and then she danced a solo.
Robert Roldan
Partner: Kathryn McCormick
Style: Broadway
Choreographer: Spencer Liff
My Thoughts
I wasn't loving Kathryn's hair but everything else was hot. Spencer really gave Robert the leading role and he didn't disappoint. My only disappointment was that Kathryn didn't get a bigger role but I guess that's OK, haha. I think it could be my favourite of the night so far.
Lauren Froderman
Partner: Pasha Kovalev
Style: Cha-Cha
Choreographers: Tony Meredith & Melanie LaPatin
My Thoughts
I thought this was great. Lauren was great and sexy but I'll have to disagree with Nigel about her being the best Contemporary girl to do Ballroom. In my opinion, Allison and Kathryn are the best Contemporary girls to do Ballroom. But I will give her the title of the best Contemporary girl to do Hip-Hop.
Robert & Kent
Style: Malevos
My Thoughts
Yeah, I don't know about this. It was a bit sloppy in parts but it was a really tough routine. I'm pretty sure real Malevos dancers would have killed this, though.
