So, I'm really late with this blog

but I thought I'd post it for completeness.
So You Think You Can Dance continued last week as we find out the Top 3 dancers that will make it to final performance show tonight.
The opening group performance was a Contemporary piece choreographed by Dee Caspary and was danced by the All-Stars. Personally, I don't get the complaining about the All-Stars stealing the spotlight from the contestants. I watch SYTYCD for good dancing and that's what the All-Stars provide. I've been quite happy with this season because there have been few train wreck performances compared to other seasons.
Next, they talked a bit about National Dance Day and they said they will talk more about it next week. Nigel said he will be doing a tap routine for the finale. He said that the Hip-Hop routine with Twitch & Alex will be re-done on the finale with Alex being replaced by a "dance legend".
First guest performance is from Janelle Monáe performing "Tightrope" from her critically acclaimed debut album ArchAndroid. I thought it was a fun performance.
Next, they showed a recap of what Lauren did on the performance show and then Lauren danced a solo to "Wasted Time" by Me'Shell NdegéOcello. I thought it was a good solo. I think Lauren would be an even more amazing dancer if she worked on her technique a bit more. Right now she relies a bit on her athleticism which is fine but she could be even better.
Then, they showed clips of the dancers at the Gatorade Performance Lab.
Next was Kent's recap and his solo. He danced to "Dynamic" by Taio Cruz. I'm not a fangirl but I like Kent because he's a very talented dancer. I would not be disappointed if Kent won.
The first person announced safe and making it to the Top 3 was Lauren.
Next, they talked about the tour. The tour lineup will include All-Stars,
Ade, Allison, Courtney, Dominic and Kathryn, season 7 contestants,
Billy, AdéChiké, Kent, Ashley, Jose, Lauren and Robert, and season 6 winner,
Russell. There will newly choreographed routines just for the tour.
Next, they showed a recap of what AdéChiké did last night. Then, AdéChiké danced a solo to "SIR" by Various Artists. This was a different solo than we're used to from him. It was kind of like a Hip-Hop solo. Pretty cool. I really like AdéChiké when he does his own stuff.
Next was a recap of Robert's performance night and then he did his solo. He dance to "Mr. Muscle" by Rusko. I thought it was a solid solo from Robert. I think his technique is inconsistent but he was really good in this solo.
Cat then announced the next person to make the finale. And that person was Kent.
Next, guest performer, Desmond Richardson danced to "Sympathy For the Devil" by The Rolling Stones.
They showed a clip of the dancers at the premiere of Step Up 3D.
Next, Flo Rida performed "Club Can't Handle Me" from the Step Up 3D soundtrack. All-Stars performing with him included Kathryn, Lauren, Courtney, Dominic, Twitch and Ade. Where's Comfort? I'm surprise she wasn't there since it was mainly Hip-Hop dancing. It was a fun performance.
Finally, the elimination. Robert is the last person in the final 3. AdéChiké is eliminated. I personally like AdéChiké more than Robert but Robert will probably make a better partner for next week's show.
Anyway, see you all later tonight for the last performance show of the season!
