So You Think You Can Dance continued tonight as one more dancer will be eliminated from the competition... maybe...

So, I missed the show but I got the gist of it from IDF. The opening group routine was to "All That Jazz" by Lea DeLaria.



The Top 6 danced with some of the All-Stars (Courtney, Lauren G, Allison, Ade, Neil and Mark). Loved the routine. I thought Allison, Lauren, Mark and Kent were exceptional.

The bottom 3 were Robert, Jose and Billy.

Apparently, Allison was hot as a backup dancer to one of the guest performers. I definitely gotta watch this now.

They decided not to eliminate anybody (probably due to a tie in the judges' voting). They will eliminate two contestants next week.

Nigel announced the dancers that will be going on tour:

All-Stars

Allison, Courtney, Ade, Dominic

Season 6

Kathryn, Russell

Season 7

Top girl and 3 others. Correction: Top guy and girl + 4 others.


My favourite girlies are there so I'm happy, although I would have liked to have Lauren Gottlieb there as well. I can see the girls being upset with Neil and Mark not being there.

Although Billy is an amazing dancer ... he actually chose to opt out of dancing this week, while I'm sure that both Alex and Ashley - would have done anything to have been able to complete their journey on the show. I totally believe that the judges completely copped out this week by not sending Billy home. Two of three dancers that didn't dance due to injuries were immediately eliminated, while the third is getting another chance. Does anyone else think that this is completely unfair??? Nigel is typically a fair man... I think that he should allow both Ashley and Alex to audition for the next season... give them the same opportunity that he showed Billy tonight!!!

The reason Billy is allowed to continue is because he CAN dance next week, whereas Alex and Ashley couldn't. The only thing that I would complain about is the non-elimination. That is a cop-out. Someone should have been eliminated. At the very least now, they should add this weeks voting totals to next week's so that people don't feel like they voted for nothing.

i'm SO happy that billy can dance next week! i would've been depressed if yet another contestant got cut. alex and ashley were my favorites :[

Concerning the decision to keep all three dancers in danger-- I don't know to what extent the judges examined the mathnof the situation. And I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the "safe" dancers last thursday are upset. With five dancers left, each of them had a one in five chance of being eliminated next week. As it is each has a two in six (one in three) chance of elimination. Seems an unfair stress to me.

I wanted to post something I read on IDF for those who think that Billy just decided not to dance even though he was cleared to dance.

"Billy was cleared to dance by a doctor only three hours before the live show aired and by then it was way too late to be in the show. Also, he wasn't asked to do a solo to save his life tonight."
