SYTYCD Australia Season 3: Top 6 Results Show

The top 6 results show opened with a hip hop group routine by Supple.

The dancers all talked about the solos they were about to perform, then the girls were first. Ivy danced to Santogold 'Creator', Jess S danced to 'Hide & Seek' by Imogen Heap and Jessie danced to 'Your House' by Alanis Morisette. Out of the girls solos, Jessie's was easily my favourite.

Top 6 boys solos were next, Nick danced to Linkin Park's 'Faint', Robbie danced to 'Joker & the Thief' by Wolfmother and Phillipe danced to 'Smooth Criminal' by Michael Jackson. Nick's was definitely my favourite.

Jason Derulo performed, then the first girl to make it into the top 4 was announced... Jessie H! I couldn't be happier! Then the first boy into the top 4 is... Robbie! As expected. Both well deserved.

Sydney Dance Company were up next to build the suspense, then the girl's results were announced. Jess S was eliminated and Ivy is in the top 4. Again this was as expected and I'm thrilled that Jessie and Ivy get a routine together, I hope it's a challenging contemporary like Amy & Talia got last year.

The boys result was next, with the shock announcement that Nick would be going home. Well, I had a feeling about this one all day, with Phillipe being extremely popular, but I think a lot of people expected Nick to make it through.

Congratulations to the top 4: Jessie Hesketh, Robbie Kmetoni, Ivy Heeney and Phillipe Witana.

wow.. i am happily surprised.. i had been kind of hoping for a robbie/ phillippe duet, and it looks like i will get it. ivy has performed very well throughout as has jessie. i wonder what australia will decide?

Phillipe's gonna win!

But really, I would not be surprised at all if any of the final 4 wins.

interesting... now that i have seen the show the votes were based on, i think oz got it just right. and oddly, the phillippe robbie duet i was hoping for wound up being a trio. that was very much what i thought one would be like, and it was damn hot.

I don't agree with Jason C that this is the best Top 4. Actually, I think it's the worst Top 4 out for all 3 seasons. But it's the most competitive Top 4, in that it's hard to predict a winner.

Yeah, it certainly isn't a great top 4 overall. IMO, we got the best 2 female dancers (although perhaps if Issi hadn't been injured she could have proved she should be there with Jessie). For the boys side, personally Robbie doesn't do much for me, I don't dislike him but I find him overrated. I would've obviously liked to see Nick in Phillipe's place, or perhaps if Matt had been given a fair run (ie. the chance to dance ballroom at least once) he could've had a shot. I much prefer him to Kieran, but I know a lot of people would've liked to see him in the top 4 so I wouldn't have minded that either. I think Robbie has been very lucky overall with his run on the show and Phillipe has stayed well beyond what he should have.

My money is on Robbie to win, as he's insanely popular. Literally everyone I ask (random acquaintances, people at work) love him and apparently the crowd went wild for him last week (from someone who was at the show). I think Jessie will take second place (I used to think Ivy would, but I think Ivy had bad luck with her routines on Wednesday).

Of course... I'm voting for Jessie and have my fingers crossed!

I just looked at the poll on this site and Robbie is last. I guess the people that visit this site don't agree with Australia.
