SYTYCD UK Season 1 Ep8 - The Top 8 Perform

So You Think You Can Dance UK continued on Saturday night (UK time) as the Top 8 performed for Britain's votes.

SYTYCDfanUK's account got suspended so I'm linking videos from BBC's YouTube channel which is missing the rehearsal video as well as judges comments. I think there are supposed to be a girls and guys group routine but hasn't been uploaded yet. I'll link them once they've been uploaded.

I kind of have less motivation to watch this show now that SYTYCD Australia has started, especially when I don't have a favourite on UK.

I wasn't impressed or entertained by any of the routines. My favourite was probably the Contemporary routine. I thought it really showed off Lizzie well but didn't use Alastair to his full potential. He was pretty much a forklift in his own style which looks bad on him, in my opinion. I thought Mandy & Tommy were decent as well but nothing to get excited about.

Charlie & Drew's routine looked like a Broadway more than a Hip-Hop. Not enough Hip-Hop content. It was alright.

My least favourite routine was probably the Lindy-Hop. I didn't like the dancing and I didn't like the concept. I don't think it needed a concept. How about they just dance?

I'm struggling to find the motivation to continue to watch too! I think I'm so into watching Australia already. I wonder if any of the other international fans are suffering from this too, I've noticed quite a few on IDF seem to have given up on the UK version.

I've just watched Alastair and Lizzie as I like them both. I think he'll be going soon to be honest. Anyway yeah it didn't show him off to his full potential. Even though Iike them both I don't love anyone or am not even remotely a fan of anyone. This first season has been disappointing really.
