So You Think You Can Dance UK continued last night as the Top 10 performed for Britain's votes.





I don't Lizzie did very well this week. I thought the judges were very nice with their comments regarding her performance. I thought Drew was good in the Disco; It suited him.

I agree with what Nigel said about Mandy & Mark in their routine. I don't think Mark was very good at all. If you don't judge the dancing, then it's not really a dance, it's a theatre piece.

I thought the wall for the Hip-Hop routine with Hayley & Alastair made the routine feel a bit weird at the beginning. I felt a bit disconnected from what the dancers were doing and they also lost synchronization in a few parts. The one part where the did the arm ripple thing was kind of cool, though. They both danced it well enough except for the synchronization parts I mentioned.

The girls' and guys' group routines were kind of meh.

I give Tommy full marks for effort in the Salsa but Yanet had the better Salsa vibe, not surprisingly. I really liked Tommy's solo as well.

Now, for what will no doubt be the controversial routine of the night, the cancer routine with Charlie & Robbie. The reason that it's controversial (for some SYTYCD fans), for those who don't know, is because it's the exact same routine from season 5 of the US version, performed by Melissa & Ade. I'm not going to compare the two versions because they are different dancers. I thought Charlie & Robbie performed the routine very well. And despite the fact that it's a rehash routine, I do think it's worthy of being called the routine of the night.

For the solos, my favourites were Tommy and Lizzie's. Despite again disliking Charlie's solo, she's becoming a favourite of mine based on her partner routines.
